At NewComma, we strive to keep our platform accessible and transparent for both creatives and hirers. Here’s a quick breakdown of how our fees and payment options work for different features:
For Hirers
Direct Booking
When you hire a creative using the Direct Booking feature, there’s a 10% booking fee added to the cost of the project.
Example: If a creative charges $500 for their services, the total cost to you as a hirer will be $550 ($500 for the creative + $50 booking fee).
Opportunity Listings
For job or opportunity postings, the fees are:
$68 for a two-week listing
$132 for a 30-day listing
If you are subscribed to a NewComma membership, you will be allocated a monthly allowance of Comma Credits to spend on your listings.
Optional boosts are available to promote your listing on NewComma’s feed and Explore Page as well as external channels including Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter [X] and our newsletter, ensuring maximum visibility.
For Creatives
Direct Booking Feature
To advertise services for booking on the platform, creatives must be subscribers.
Subscribers can showcase their offerings, set their prices, and receive inquiries from hirers using the Explore Page.
Creatives keep 100% of their earnings from bookings. NewComma does not take any commission from the fees they charge.
Subscription Fees
Access to premium features such as the advanced project builder, analytics, event perks, longer feed posts, and the ability to advertise services for booking is available for $7 per month.
Payment Methods on NewComma
There are two ways to pay for services or features on NewComma:
Pay with Your Card:
Use your debit or credit card to pay for listings, boosts, or bookings directly on the platform.
Pay with Comma Credits:
Subscribers are issued a set number of Comma Credits every month as part of their subscription. These credits can be used to:
Pay for listings on the job board.
Boost posts, projects, and job opportunities on the feed and Explore Page for increased visibility.
Disputes and Resolutions
We encourage open communication between hirers and creatives to ensure projects are completed smoothly. However, in case of a dispute:
Initial Steps:
Use NewComma’s in-app messaging system to discuss the issue with the other party and try to resolve it directly.
Be clear about expectations, timelines, and deliverables before starting any project to minimise misunderstandings.
Escalating a Dispute:
If a resolution cannot be reached, contact NewComma’s support team with evidence such as agreements, messages, and project deliverables.
Our team will review the case and mediate between both parties to reach a fair outcome.
Refunds or Adjustments:
Depending on the dispute resolution, partial or full refunds may be issued, or payments may be adjusted based on agreed deliverables and work completed.
